What is Threading?
Threading is the most common and traditional way to eliminate the unwanted hairs with a thin cotton thread, there are no chemicals involved in the process hence it remains one of the safest hair removal method. Threading is predominantly used to eliminate facial hairs and it is the best way to redefine your eyebrows with a precision control over the shape.
How is Threading done?
Threading is all about skills. The beautician creates a systematic tension to the cotton thread forming three ends, two in hands and one static end around the neck (previously held in mouth). The thread is then stretched between the hands in a way that creates a coil when they crisscross, this forms a shape of scissors. The skill of moving this scissors back and forth with fingers creates a process called scissoring and the coil will eliminate the unwanted hairs.
Eyebrow threading is widely preferred treatment with thread, unlike waxing, threading can remove each and every specific hair strand, this gives greater advantage to achieve the shape of your brows with precision.
The beautician may use other tools based on the conditions of the individual.
Threading & COVID-19
Due to it’s traditional method of holding one end of the thread in mouth, it is the most impacted treatment, but it is also the most revolutionised one with new changes in technique and reinstated the confidence. With the new technique the beautician now holds the static end of the thread around the neck while keeping the mask-on instead of holding them in mouth.
